where would be the best place to rent an apt and be close enough to take the subsidized employee buses ive heard about ?

my wife will be joining me a few weeks after so a nice town for a new couple to experience would be great..

Most Black hawk employees live in the Denver area. You need to find out where these buses leave from, if you plan to use them. The areas closest to Black Hawk in the Denver Metro area are Lakewood and Golden. Some dealers live far, far away in Aurora (over an hour in good weather and traffic). A few dealers I've spoken with live in Black Hawk or Central City, but it's fairly isolated there. I have no idea where they shop, as I've never seen even a grocery store around there.

Idaho Springs might be a good choice. Right off of I70...on the way to the casinos.

Wink Best place not there

Where best to live in Black Hawk?

I wouldn't. Try nearby Central City, which at least to this observer has far more charm. No idea on availability of apartments or if the employee bus visits. But it is so close one could opt to walk. And a whole lot better than a daily commute from Denver, or even Idaho Springs.

Really.
