Actually we have a friend who takes his Astrovan everywhere, even way up in the mountains on some pretty bad forest roads. I personally wouldn't do it, but he swears by his astrovan.

Speaking of the utility of jeeps, have you ever seen the D.B. Cooper movie where the guy parachutes out of an airplane into the mountains. He locates his jeep which he has winched up on the side of a hill. He unwiches it down the hill and hops in and drives away.
