Its pretty much a 95% chance that I'll be moving to Golden Colorado for at least a year(from south carolina of all places). And All I've really done is just kind of walk around in it once. I was wondering if some members of this board would inform me on what they think I should know about Golden.

It's a great place.

Close to the mountains, close to shopping and entertainment. The downtown area has a few very nice older storefronts with newer stores there.

The areas of Golden vary from the central older portions to the new developments on the outskirts, so there's a great variety of landscaping and vistas and housing options.

Of course, the brewery dominates a portion of town along the creek. There's other industrial parks in the area, and Colorado School of Mines campus.
So the town has a bit of "college" atmosphere to it, too. It seems to all blend together very well.
