Greetings,

Could someone please offer me what Utilities serve the Grand Junction area?

Telephone(landline provider)

Internet (cable, dsl providers?)

TV (cable TV provider) Satellite TV in obvious.

Curbside recycling? or any recycling?

Is there a good natural foods market, or a good grocery chain that offers them?

Thanks!

For several years I had Direc TV, but over 2 years ago I switched to Bresnan cable and that's what I use for cable TV, land line phone, and high speed internet. I've been very happy with them not only with what I have but the customer service people as well. Their customer service center is based out of Billings, Montana.

If you don't want to go that route, Grand Junction offers a company called Grand Valley Communications, located at 8th and North avenue. Grand Junction local rates are a few dollars cheaper as opposed to living in Palisade, or Fruita, which is where I live. For a long time they only had dial up internet, but recently I've noticed on their advertising sign that they have high speed now.

Earhlink also offers phone and internet.

Health foods wise, there is Vitamin Cottage, off hwy. 6 and 50, not far from Mesa Mall. Chain grocery stores are City Market, Safeways, and Albertsons. I basically shop at City Market as Fruita just has the one store but Safeways and Albertsons are OK as well. And of course, you have Walmart.

There's several other Grand Junction people who can weigh in here. 80's Keys, Cosmic, whatcha got on this post?

Double H - Don't forget the fruit and veggie stands all around the area come late summer. Awesome. Much better than anything you can get here on the Front Range.

Oh how I miss GJ!

COflower is right, wasn't thinking about the farmers markets. They will set up in Fruita and Junction and man do I stock up on those Palisade Peaches! Yummo! Same with the sweet corn coming out of Olathe!
