How long does it generally take to get the notice in the mail if it catches you?

Well they're doing the same thing to me. I moved from Nebraska to Arizona and used their toll road in December. I just got the bill now and they just sent me a new bill saying there is a late fee! They even threatened "civil action"! I contacted them saying I just barely got the bill and that my mail was being forwarded to me, they didn't care. They said it's still late. I'm offering to pay the regular fee but not the late fee. What inconsiderate jerks to not waive a measly $5.00 late fee because of my forwarded mail. I WILL NEVER USE A COLORADO TOLL ROAD NOW.

What's the worst they can do to you if you don't even live here? (Honest question)
Personally, if I didn't live here, I'd send them the amount of the toll and tell them to shove the late fee up their bum.

I will say this - in areas that have them you rarely see drivers running red lights, or trying to get an early jump on the green.
Oh, yes we do. Beware if you're a chronic light runner. Arapahoe County has several of them.

I have two transponders, you get a discount on the toll that way. I live in Monument and I go up 83 to E470 all the time to the airport. I'm more then happy paying to use the road vs sitting in traffic and dealing with idiots.

To get a transponder go to their site and you just ask for one. You got to keep a small balance there but not a big deal, when you run out emails you and dings your credit card on file for another $10...not a big deal. I've called them a few times and they were very nice people.

East coast of this country of ours there are lots of toll roads *shrug* I guess I am used to them.

I always wondered what they do for out of staters...LOL As for red light tickets it is CO law they have to serve those or they don't count. This been all over the news every year. I have never received one but if I ever do I will ignore the letter and let them do their job by serving me the fine which is CO law...make then follow the law as written. If they don't do it in 90 days the ticket is void under the law.

Yeah, I lived in the East, also, but I think $3 per mile is ridiculous.

$3 per mile huh!!!

Toll Calculator

I-25 to Pena (airport exit)
27.60 miles Toll for Express Toll customer is $6.95
$6.95 / 27.60 miles = .25 cents PER MILE

Or the whole route:
I25 to 96th Street = 55.60 miles
$14.95 for the whole thing
Comes to .27 cents a mile

Maybe you meant I25 Toll section???
I-25 Toll Table

That is a variable rate, anywhere from .50 cents to $4.00 if you are on it at 7:15-8:15am or 4:30-6pm *shrug*

E470 is CHEAP PER MILE, don't take the I25 Toll if its not worth your $4.00 to you during rush hour. No one forces you to get on those roadways *shrug*

Boy, did I goof! I read the 55.60 as dollars and cents. Duh!
But, I still think paying nearly $18 to drive less than halfway around Denver is steep.

But I have never known anyone to take the WHOLE loop even with traffic that would take longer then just staying on I25...LOL So for me to go to the airport and use E470 to avoid traffic and a 70mph speed limit is nice. I gladly pay and do pay.
