I am a student and I just shifted to Denver Downtown. I need to set up an appointment with someone in Greeley, Colorado. Can anyone please suggest me some economical option or public transportation break journey? Please let me know. I need a round trip for one day only. Thanks in advance

The only think I know of would be the bus, like Greyhound.

1) rent a car for the day so you can go directly point to point on your own schedule

2) take one of the shuttle/van services from Denver to Greeley. Some operate only to/from fixed points, say Downtown Denver (Union Station area, as an example) to a point in Greeley (like the Park'n'ride lot), and some will take you to your destination point in Greeley and pick you up from there for the return trip to Denver. Best way to locate the van service that has the service you require is to get the list of van/shared ride operators from the DIA website, Denver International Airport | Official Website of DEN. Go to the "ground transportation" heading and you'll find quite a few serving the Denver area ... even though they are listed for DIA, many are full service shared ride companies serving Downtown Denver and Greeley routes. You should be able to get rate quotes and schedules for several in just a few phone calls to make your selection.

3) There is bus service (an RTD contract route) that goes from Downtown Denver to Downtown Greeley, which is probably the least expensive, but has the least frequency of travel and may not necessarily take you close to your destination in a timely manner. Locally in Greeley, you may find that a student ID will get you around on their local public bus service for little cost.

What you may discover is that the option of renting a car for the day is not much different in cost than a shared van service point to point. With all the promos available for low daily rates including unlimited mileage, a rental car may be very competitive cost-wise and certainly the most convenient use of your time for this trip.
