I know it's early, but I want to make reservations soon.

Where in CO has the best 4th of July?

I know everyone has different opinions, but I'd love your feedback (maybe some pictures). We plan on being in CO for the 4th. We typically find ourselves in Denver, but we're certainly open to other parts of CO. I love it there!

Pueblo has a awesome 4th of July celebration on the Riverwalk in downtown. There is a festival all day long and they close down streets. It is family friendly with a area for kids. It also has great food and "adult beverages". Then at the outdoor amphitheater they have entertainment that includes the Pueblo Symphony then it ends with a great firework display.

Here are some pictures of events I have been to at the Riverwalk:

Hey! I might come down! Louisville has cancelled their festival due to lack of funds!

I know I am a homer but I think you would have a great time. It is actually called Rollin' on the Riverwalk. The event will feature live music from Sal Viviano and Jan Horvath along with the Pueblo Symphony. I really love the Riverwalk and how its in a urban environment and think this has allowed Pueblo to have a unique venue for events in the state.

I can see I was wrong on the times I thought it was all day or maybe it was and not this year but it says it opens at 4.

Josseppie, awesome pictures. Thank you!

I love how everyone looks like they are having fun. And, it doesn't seem to be over crowded.

I will definitely check out the link. Thank you. The only thing I've even done in Pueblo is hit the Starbucks to get my caffeine fix while driving back to Albuquerque.

Thanks!!!

Avon, CO next to Vail usually has one of the largest fireworks displays going in the state. I'd check out the Vail Valley for your trip.

I thought the biggest display in CO was following the Rapids game on July 4. (That's what they always said.) We went to that game several times when it was at Invesco/Mile High. Don't know what it's like to go to Dick's stadium in Commerce City.

To me any large firework show will be about the same and great to see. So the difference is in what leads up to the show. Does a person want to see a sporting event, concert, festival etc. There is no right or wrong answer as it depends on the individuals personal preference.
