You could hold a prarie dog cookout after you shoot them all. Wonder if they taste like squirrel?

Use the right ammo and there isn't anything left to cook. They are vaporized.

Reduced & recycled at the same time!

Pretty much. I've got a decent "community" here on my land that's getting time to reduce in numbers.

Need to work up a nice load for the AR15.

I wouldn't use poison, just shoot them with an air rifle.

a friend's granddad had a gopher problem on his sheep ranch near Walden...he'd drive around in an old jeep with a couple 55gal drums full of water and 2 airedale terriers.

He'd run the water into the holes to flush them out, then the dogs would wait by the exit hole for the gophers....then tear them to shreds when they ran out.

Default Where to prairie dog hunt?

Hey Everyone,

I will be coming out to Colorado in mid July for my buddy's wedding and would like to do some prairie dog hunting. However, we're not sure where to go. Essentially, we would like to hunt on some private land so we wouldn't have to pay $100+ for an outfitter, mainly because we might only hunt for half a day or so. The group will consist of myself and bout 4 or 5 guys that I grew up with, we're respectable guys, we always clean up after ourselves and never tear anything up. We just want to take advantage of the time we have to spend with each other since we rarely see each other, have some fun and do what we love to do, HUNT. Hope you guys can help me out...It'll be greatly appreciated!
