The newer, slightly elliptical dishes, are designed to pick up three satellites at once. You need it for getting HD content and stuff like Chinese channels. These dishes have 3 LNBs and 4 outputs off an integrated multiswitch. At least that's how it was when I had it a couple years ago.

I heard that getting a slightly larger dish (like 30-36") can help with weather related signal fade. Has anyone tried this?

I think mine has 5 LNBs with the optional flux capacitor link for virtual been-there-done-that Travel Channel tours

I'm waiting for the next good thunderstorm and I'll get back to you on that.

Roger that, but in the case of most TV, IMO, what's needed is a FLUSH capacitor....

You rock, dude! Who replaced you?

PS: With that HD, my glasses actually work. I wish all channels were HD. Before, I had a hard time seeing subtitles and scores.

Sometimes, you get what you pay for.

Colorado moderator is xxman777 or mdz and others check in from time to time, like figment07 or austintraveler, all good folks. I'm going to concentrate on my long list of to-do items, travel more this summer, get out of this chair.

But if I see some banned dudes come back under new names I may resume mod duties just so I can ban them, everytime.

s/Mike
