My wife and I are moving to the area. We are looking at renting a home in Turtle Creek but wanted to get some information about this subdivision. Is it quiet? Any crime issues? I noticed all the homes look almost identical, are they quality homes?

Any insight into this neighborhood would be great!

Great subdivision, all brick, mostly owner occupied, good quality and I think Delk built them. I'd recommend it.

I'll second what Brandon said and throw in great schools and easy access to lake Murray. If you move there you won't have to wonder how the builder came up with the name for the neighborhood.

Thanks for your replies. Are you from the area or know people in the Turtle Creek subdivision? Anyone know what the general neighborhood is like? Mostly military from Fort Jackson or Shaw or mostly residents of Columbia?

I don't know of any active military that lives in the subdivision and it is not very convenient to Ft. Jackson or Shaw. The people I know are just average folks.

I think you must be thinking of a different place. The area we are looking at is about 40 minutes from Lake Murray . Granted it is about 40 minutes to Shaw but it is worth the commute in my opinion.

You made me look and sure enough I am thinking about a different place. I was thinking about Turtle Cove:

There is some military families in there, but that will hold true for just about any NE subdivision.
