I have seen a few smaller "self serve" cases here, but not like the big ones back home. Come on people, everyone needs a good donut now and then!!
I shop at the Vista Publix and they have their own bakery. The Fresh Market in Trenholm Plaza has an awesome bakery, too. Those and Rosewood Market are about the only places I go grocery shopping, though.

I'm pretty sure all area Publix stores have bakeries, I know the one in Trenholm Plaza does.

The closest Publix probably to you in Chapin is on Harbison, I've only been to that one a couple times, but I'm pretty sure it had a bakery.
