Only the second time in University of South Carolina history that the nation's #1 team will play in WBS. Should be a great atmosphere in Columbia this weekend.

Cool. Hope the USC fan with his confederate flag isn't back again this year: http://www.thesunnews.com/2010/10/05/1734724/gameday-is-scs-chance-to-shine.html (broken link)

Was this really necessary?

This sounds like wonderful fun for Carolina! (And, also great economic stimulus for the city!)
They're even going to allow the students to camp out Friday night on the Horseshoe. Sure hope the weather holds out for a very exciting weekend.

Go Gamecocks!!!

I didn't bring the confederate flag to the event. I didn't write the news article. I just shed light on the situation in a hope that it doesn't happen again.

OMG, don't let this guy show up again. What an absolute embarrassment to South Carolina.

An article about the upcoming game from The State. Most replies do not sound very positive for a Gamecock win.

Why should anyone be very positive the Gamecocks will win? Even if they do they'll bomb in their next game. They don't know how to wear success. I'm just looking forward to seeing what GameDay shows of the city and what they say about it. I hope it will be an opportunity to see and hear positive things about Columbia with no immediate platform for detractors.

As an alumni of the beautiful University of Alabama and, now, a SC resident, I'm really looking forward to this game. My wife (also an alumni of AL) is going to Columbia. RTR!
