CanalSide is gearing up for its third and final round of development. Now if the penny sales tax will just hurry up and connect it with the rest of the Vista.

I wish the article included a link to the "documents" referenced that show the Phase III site plan.

The DDRC agenda at columbiasc.net (the City's website - under planning and development) says "information only" on the CanalSide item.

Added supply is keeping rent in check too so we're not having those 10% spikes affecting many other markets in the states. USC's pastides announced plans to bolster the freshman class over the 6000 mark and add an additional 250 profs by 2025.

I was just street-viewing Columbia and discovered a travesty. When in the h-e-double-L did a big billboard get erected to block the view of the skyline just after you drive past the Palmetto Compress Warehouse on the Blossom Street passover? I CANNOT believe it. That is sick. Things like that frustrated me to no end when I was in Columbia - for 31+ years. I would lose sleep over it if I were there now.

So my husband tells me. I guess it goes to show I did look at Columbia through rose-colored glasses. There are no billboards in any part of Charleston that I am ever in. I think some are in the North Charleston area and next to I-26 and 526.

To make it worse, Greenville- Spartanburg Airport is one of the advertisers on it with their "Why Fly Charlotte when there is GSP" campaign...

Also Clemson University was another one in rotation
