So the old central magistrate court and giant parking lot is not on Huger street anymore? Anyone know what will happen with that property? There is a lot of proposed development on the Huger street corridor and that lot is probably the best location around.

This area is "downtown" Richland County. Its in the Center of the County and probably the most distressed commercial area of the County as well. St Andrews and Broad River have their issues but Decker is by far the most challenged. We should hope that the County doesn't close their office on Main Street and decamp for Decker since there is additional land out there for future expansion should they need it..The County may seek to revitalize this area by putting more County Offices out there. Someone suggested Columbia Place being taken over by the County.. which could also be a boost for the Mall by adding bodies and potential customers..

We stayed at the new Aloft, for the Amos Lee concert, and I noticed this was happening. I agree with everyone else, great addition. I know it's been said before, but the Vista is really cleaning up nice. The adding of the Music Farm has been fantastic.

Default Vista- when does Firehouse construction start?

Speaking of The Vista anybody know when the firehouse construction is set to begin, is it behind schedule or did the project hit another snag?

I was wondering the same thing. I wonder if the developers are waiting on the adjacent University SC Tower (or whatever it's called now) to make some progress?
