Logan Raye, 801 Gervais Street: 27 August 2011 at Columbia Closings

Logan Raye (Corner of Gervais & Gadsden) closed after 10 years in biz. Flo opening next to Miyos probably did them in but in any event, this is mega prime real estate avail, I'm guessing a savvy restauranteur will snap it up the space in next couple months.

Is this the same Darla Moore that Ms. Teabagger Haley fired? Will the governor there for the ground breaking, thus showing her ass?

I wouldn't think new construction for a school would have anything to do with the Governor's office, and thus no?

Not that it matters but, I think teabag Gov should be at the groundbreaking. This is major building for a highly ranked business school. So, in the interest of building a knowledge economy in SC, she needs to be at as many educational events as possible if for nothing else to show support. But, I doubt she will be there since the spotlight will be on Darla Moore and others, Haley would be overshadowed.

I agree that she should attend - this is the crown jewel of USC (just like CU-ICAR is for Clemson) and it needs clear support from our leaders and some grown-up behavior.

As a business student at USC Upstate, I have to say this is fantastic news. With the way the economy is, this whole country needs more large building projects like this and now.

Well, I would personally think it would be dumb if she used her time and the state's dollars to come to Clemson to do the same. Same goes for any other groundbreaking that isn't directly providing jobs. If you're looking at jewels, then maybe she should have been at one of the nation's best architecture programs (and the state's only) when it broke ground on its new building last year. But, no, that would be silly. Even if she is an alum of Clemson. Apples to apples, I think it's silly either way.
