Looking for a restaurant that serves German food. Tried one near Fort Jackson but they basically served overly deep fried schnitzels. They had little else in the way of German food.

Looking for Wurst's, Sauerbraten, etc.

Thanks

I mentioned it in a different thread but be sure to try Huller's Black Forest on Columbiana Drive out in Harbinson:

Huller's Black Forest

I (regretfully) have still not made a trip there but my wife loved it.

A native German's opinion We tried the Sunday buffet at Hullers and it was is allright. Some of their food is great, but for example the dumplings need lots of practice. I am from Northern Bavaria and we can definitely do much better...
Julia's Stammtisch is a bit limited, I agree.

Also, try out the German butcher on 2 Notch Road. The store is not pretty, but the Wurst, Fleischsalad, Leberkaese etc. are really good.

Never judge a restaurant on it's buffet. I don't for the live of me know why so many fine places compromise the quality of their food in order to impress with quantity.

I agree; I avoid buffets entirely.
