CanalSide phase 2 is moving along at a quick pace. They are now pouring concrete for the Taylor street row homes. Cool birds-eye-view shots of phase 2 can be found here:

I really wish they'd used a few parking garages in Canalside instead of those acres of asphalt.

Lets be careful.. someone may decide they want to put in some designer student housing since that is the new cash crop in the City...

Maybe the plan to eventually add them to the parking lots as the space fills up like at Magnolia Park in Greenville. At least all the units are facing streets. The best chance for parking garages would be up against Hampton street where some existing lots are or under the planned towers near the riverfront.
