As it turns out he is in fact being transferred probably by the end of this month. He will be in the Denstville area though instead of the previous stated location. But because this is all happening so last minute he will be coming alone and I will stay behind until he end of the school year(may 2012). We have too much to do and it would be impossible to make this move in 2 weeks. Although we are keeping our options open and it is possible that myself and our girls will be there after the new year.

So he needs a one bedroom apartment close to 29223. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We're trying to keep his rent in the $500-$700 range. Also a place with flexible leasing would be greatly preferred.

There are some nice apartments in the Wildewood area around Polo Road, which is a very easy commute to the Dentsville area. I don't know the price range but I think a 1 bedroom for that price may be doable.

Do be careful around 29223 and the near Northeast/Dentsville/Percivial Road area, though, as there are some sketchier apartment complexes in the area, so don't fall for low rents automatically.

If he is willing to drive a bit further out into the Northeast, the Reserve at Lake Carolina, on Hardscrabble Road, is a good apartment complex (at least it was when we lived there for about a year when we were building our house). This would still be a reasonable commute.

He has a few appointments at some different places, we'll be in Columbia on the 15th. One of the places he really likes(based on the internet and speaking to someone at the complex) is the Fairways. He's been doing the research so I don't know that much but is this a reputable place? Any other suggestions? Should we try craigslists too?
