5 minutes by car at an average of 30 MPH would mean walking in 15 minutes has you walking at 10 mile per hour. Wow. That is some fast walking.

Split hairs all you want. There is no way in heck Five Points to the Vista is 15 minutes by car. Not even in the heaviest traffic.

It's actually an easier walk than it is a drive, arguably, because you can cut right through campus. 15 minutes is a stretch, but I've probably walked it in maybe 20-25 minutes. That's from, say, Greene and Harden to the part of the Vista nearest campus and the state house.

I could make it from Assembly to Harden walking down Greene Street within 15 minutes walking at my normal pace very easily, but then I've always been accused of walking like I'm going to a fire.

Better walk fast than slow. Slow walkers drive me nuts...I wouldn't walk between 5 Points and Vista by myself, make sure you are in a group - and by that I don't mean 2 girls...or 3...preferably mixed with guys and minimum 4 people.

Always good advice, though depending on your route only campus lies between the two.

Very good advice.

Also, since this thread is about nightlife, why oh why would anyone walk between Five Points and the Vista? I mean, say your at a bar in Five Points on a 90 degree summer Saturday night. Is anyone really going to say, "hey, lets walk to the Vista"? I mean, number one you would be nothing a soupy, wet mess by the time you got to the Vista. Number two, talk about a buzz kill, that walk would be a buzz kill! LOL.

The two nightlife districts are separate and don't really lend themselves to be walked between during evening nightlife.

Thank goodness for choices of nightlife districts. And thank goodness for USC.
