Killian Crossing developers are "being tight-lipped" about what might locate there, but there is speculation that some retailers that aren't currently in Columbia or the state might open in the development.

I see that they seem to be developing the foundation on at least one building.

Also we get new trees on the I77 exit ramp!

Had heard (here, maybe) that construction on the first tenant's building was supposed to begin by the end of the summer, so that sounds about right.

Does it look like they're widening the on-ramp to 77 south? I rarely go that way anymore, and I was too busy trying to figure out if the trees were new to notice what was being done to the ramp.

Some roses and more Crepe(crape?) myrtles. It *looks* like they have room to widen it now but I don't see anything showing they are.

The power lines would seem to be the high-transmission lines that started this thread.

I can't say they do much for the view, though.

Does anyone know how long the land has been cleared behind Hudson Lexus/Cadillac and fronting 77? There is a small tree line next to the interstate but, beyond the first couple of trees, it looks like the trees are cleared.

According to the Richland DOR site, that parcel is owned by the county's department of public works. I recall a few years back reading that there was a water tower planned for somewhere in that quadrant of the Killian/77 intersection, so perhaps with new home construction on the rebound, there's finally a reason to put that up?

Well construction has really ramped up.

It looks like they are widening the road from the I77 off ramp onto Killian road! We really needed this because that exit is horrible at rush hour (lots of fender benders) with people flying into the lane at the last second.

Also yesterday they just put up a sign next to Gold's Gym stating a Liquor/Beer/Wine store is going to be opened. I can not remember the name, started with a "C" I think. I have mixed feelings about that.
