Default Rental Housing NE Columbia

Hello all...I've gained a lot of valuable info reading your posts...Thank you!

It appears that my family and I will be relocating to NE part of the city in the next couple of months.

Our plan is to rent for one year before buying with that in mind we'd like to keep our rent $1,000 or hopefully a little below that. We only have to have 2-3 bedrooms although 2 bathrooms is a must.

We are looking for houses but would consider condo's but NO apartments.

Here's my question...Are there any areas i.e. neighborhoods, streets in NE Columbia that we need to stay away from. I want to save some $$$ during this year but not put my family at risk.

Any advice would be appreciated

Not really. It depends how far out the NE you go. The area near Columbia Place like near Parklane and Decker are considered NE Cola but it's just the "old NE". That's the only area I know that may be a little shaky but once you go near or past Spring Valley subdivision on Two Notch it's really no crime
