Default relocating

my husband and I plan to retire in 2 years. we are coming down to south carolina next month to investigate various areas. we are looking for a modest home not being on a subdivision. he is into drag racing and would like to be near a drag strip. my 25yr single daughter also would be moving with us also and she needs to be near a large city to work. my other daughter and husband also plan to relocate and they desire a home with lots of property.
does anyone have any sugestions to help us get started. it would be much appreciated. thanks

You may want to check out Florence or Darlington for racing. If you want to be in Columbia you may be more interested in NE Columbia. Other options would be Lexington, Chapin, Irmo or perhaps one of the outlying rural areas such as Swansea, Gaston, or North. Swansea is very quiet but there is land available there. "Modest home" and "lots of land" vary by opinion, so if can you be more specific on what you consider modest and lots of land and I'll try to suggest some areas that might fit your needs.
