Default Possible Relocation to Dentsville, SC

Can anyone give me feedback on housing if I were to work in Dentsville. We are 50+ Empty Nesters but looking for a commutable location 45 mins max to live in. We can spend approx from $250k-$350k don't need a lot of property I have had 3+ acres to .25 in the past. Would like a newer community if possible. We would like to be near shopping, resturants and other ammenities but don't have to live in Columbia. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dentsville is just a part of Columbia. If your job is in the Dentsville area you'll be able to live pretty much anywhere in the metro and have less than a 45 minute commute since both I-20 and I-77 run through that area of town. There are many newer communities in the Northeast area of Columbia, which would be a short commute for you. Your price range will give you many, many options. I'd visit a real estate search site and look in the 29206, 29223 and 29229 zip codes.

Thanks a lot. That will be helpful as it's hard to get an idea of areas other than N, S E & W.

Dentsville is a fairly close-in section of Northeast Columbia. Your price range will get you a nice close-in home in Forest Acres, Lake Katherine, Forest Lake or Arcadia Lakes or a slightly larger suburban home in the Summit, Lake Carolina or out in Blythewood if you want a more rural area.

They've given good advice so far in terms of area. You'll have plenty of options.

email me ****gu3@aol.com. Lived in Columbia for years. LOVED IT and wish I was back there. Irmo area is place to live and I can point out some communities or houses you would be pleased with. I am NOT a realtor-just interested. M
