one of the things i miss from back home in WI, is having get-togethers on rural family property; we were able to shoot everything from skeet, to targets, to whatever we wanted to lol

What are some of the gun laws in SC? Is a permit required to purchase/own a handgun?

No permit required to purchase or own, however a permit is required to carry it concealed. Gun laws are relatively relaxed as they relate to purchase/ownership.

We went with Palmetto was were very impressed with them. They were very safety conscious and helped any way they could. With our company firearms expert there, they allowed us to fire from the prone position. And I passed my marksman test with the 9 mm Glock!

yeah i'm pretty comfortable there, considering i'm still a rookie. I do have to laugh, when i'm in my 'booth' plinking away with my 50's era Colt .22lr, and then i hear/feel someone nearby firing their "big boy" gun.

I at times may hit the target better at a longer distance as they tend to shoot 5-10yds max, but damn looks like i'm shooting a bb gun when comparing the target holes to what they leave lol

I had the same feeling as you the last time I was there. I'm a rookie with guns, too, so I don't always know what guns they're using. Just that it sounded like they were using a cannon compared to the 9 mm we were using.

yep when the force of air from their shots seem to lift your ear protection off, you know they got something serious lol

Call 803-718-1904 ask for Randy Sisk. He may know of a good outdoor range. I know he is involved in opening one soon up near Blythewood.
