Sandy's Hot Dogs near campus (corner of Main and College) will be closing. Looks like the site will be turned into USC parking.

Do the whine about the tower being there saying it is not "fitting" for the area. But they are gonna put a bloody parking lot there?

Unless you're talking about a garage with retail on the bottom. This seems so stupid.

I still think the reason that project was killed because it was a revenue issue for USC. Whatever the reason, however, putting a temporary parking lot there does nothing to add to the beauty of the campus.

It was a move to have the castle protect the king.

Consider that the SC Bookstore will be there for the next 8(?) years. It makes sense to redevelop the entire block at one time and USC still needs to buy the Baptist Student Ministry building. What else are they going to do with the property in the meantime? Also I wouldn't mind a parking garage there if it means that USC can redevelop the law school, education school, and other surrounding parking lots.
