Columbia is a mixed bag of ghetto and nice together. 1 block could be luxury next block ghetto.

The street behind it is a little forgotten ghetto pocket, which is really too bad because the houses on that street could be gorgeous if fixed up and taken care of.

Wow

That entire pocket could benefit from some rehab and infill.... it could truly be a nice little node in the city along Cherokee, Washington, Gregg, and Lady Street.. I suspect proximity to the RR makes it less desirable but then again.. University Hills is also right on the RR and is doing quite well. I wonder if there is some geology or hydrological reason why that wooded lot in the center hasn't developed? There is a historic marker on the corner of Gregg and Cherokee but I think that is for the house and not the entire block.. though I don't know what the marker says or why the site is significant...

Here is another odd but strategically placed property.. I believe this is owned by the Church across the street.. I wonder if housing is in its future as well or maybe a small commercial shopping center?
