I oscillate between thinking he should have backed out and acknowledging that his role at UCF was pretty terrible (responding to a crisis) and thinking his offer from Devry was subpar potentially in terms of pay and definitely in terms of prestige. On balance I don't blame him for taking the better offer, though I don't buy his reasoning. Still, I'm hoping he succeeds for the sake of the university.

This article says twice that Columbia’s Forever 21 is the only one in SC. I googled “Forever 21 Charleston,” and the one on King Street at Beaufain seems to be still in business and closing at 9 p.m. Does anyone know something I don’t know? https://www.thestate.com/news/busine...235626657.html

The brand must be struggling. I saw reports online from other cities where Forever 21 is closing as well. For example, all the stores in Canada are closing.
I’m more focused on what might take its place. Would H&M be a good fit? I know they aren’t necessarily in high growth mode rn... the space is far too small I think for a Cheesecake Factory. And def too small for Crate-Barrel or something nice like that. But it’s also slightly too large for an Apple Store. Whatever it may end up being, I hope it’s not just more of the same. I mean, we’re still waiting on that “big surprise” from a couple years ago...
