The CEO says he is dropping the political stuff. He figures he has to because he has set his designs on moving into urban centers of big cities, including cities up north.

I figure he knows he can't get away with it if he wants to move out of the Atlanta tier and into the big time up north.
He's just being quiet about it so he can move into Northern markets, but I don't believe him for a minute. They won't either. Chick-fil-a will do about as well in NYC as Krispy Kreme.

Trying to grow a company while be very political is not always a winning combination. The good news is that people have short memories. If he stays quiet in the press, Chik Fil A will be ok.
A good Chick-fil-a alternative that just arrived in town is the PDQ on Devine Street. They have some tasty chicken tenders.
But NO chicken salad sandwiches! I was pretty bummed out about that. The grilled chicken sandwhich was pretty good though. The pickles were very crispy and tasty.
