Indeed. Maybe they'll also look to do something along the river as well.

True.. they could do a simulator "practice facility" in Finlay for tourists and novice.. do something more substantial for advance kayakers down on the river along with a zip line from one side to the other at Canalside.. Seems like a potential win win and just what Columbia needs to begin to differentiate itself from other small to midsize cities..

If you think about it.. Columbia does have a lot of natural attractions within close proximity to the downtown area.. Lake Murray, Congaree Swamp and the River being the main anchors..

Yes it certainly does. It just needs to do a better job of highlighting what it has and this potential development will help with that.

Pretty cool. $1000 a month isn't too bad. Kinda pricey still but I guess with a roommate it shouldn't be too bad

That's for a studio, though I guess in theory a couple could share it. I imagine the 2 bedrooms are probably north of $2,000.

But you can get a way bigger place still in a great location, check out this 10000 sq foot duplex ($795 a month), just two block walk from Indah Coffee, war mouth, cottontown brewery and now citta del cottone pizza
