I don't remember what it was, and whatever it was, I don't know if it still holds. It's been a long time since the plan was delivered.

The weeks and months continue to pass by. Activity abounds in the private sector of downtown Columbia. Yet still, not a peep about the Greenway Trail completion by the city of Columbia. Even Columbiadata, the cheerful optimist on this board, must be starting to have some doubts. Even some type of announcement about the timeline for which the city expect to complete that portion of the Greenway would be welcome news. So far, the painfully slow process has been playing out pretty much as I suspected. Can anyone lift me from my pessimistic mood?

These types of questions are for the media to ask. Why haven't the local TV stations or newspapers asked for an update?

Apart from Free Times, there is virtually zero coverage of the Greenway.

Some road projects will be first. Those are coming soon. The greenway is one of the first non-road projects that will be completed. Patience is a virtue. Yes it's frustrating, but it shall be done in the not too distant future.

The energy of some of the people up in this forum is misplaced. I just emailed City Hall and told them to step it up, that I'm tired of waiting for the greenway and that I'm tired of defending the City.

From the mayor:

Right on, right on.... And for those that argue the point that Columbia doesn't have THAT much CBD (open) space, this would help alleviate the impending issue.
