Yes, I like all of the above. Is there a particular cuisine you like?

I visited the Marriott's (on main) general bar last night for the first time. It's nice! Good draft beer and the bartender was nice and efficient. They serve food until 11. There were two business women from Seattle who had just finished a business gathering at Nelson Mullins. A bit later a professor from USC showed up. There was also an engineer from Jacksonville at the bar. She's working on a project in the northeast part of the city. The whole vibe at the marriott last night was one of people who were here on business but enjoying the city at the same time. Nice experience.

Cool to hear. Stories like this from an average day in the city are always welcoming to hear from an out of place suburbanite.

Tonight they're having Harvest Dinner on Main, a farm-to-table event. It's in the 1200 block. They have a long table covered by a long shelter.

It's a beautiful night for it, though a tad on the chilly side for late April.

I was wondering that, too. You probably can get on a list by frequenting those restaurants.

Those dinners are apparently run by a group called Farm to Table Event Co. You can see their event list here: Events - Farm to Table Event

They have a facebook page too, and were apparently offering last-minute tickets for last night's dinner due to a cancellation as late as mid-afternoon yesterday. https://www.facebook.com/FarmToTableEvents
