Columbia's top restauranteur Michelle Wang's latest creation (her 9th restaurant) M Grille is under construction on lady and Pulaski (first floor of the condo building next to Trustus theatre). The 6000 sq foot space will be divided into a test kitchen, head office for the M Gourmet Group and M Grille with a healthy focus concentrating on lean meats, lotsa veggies and freshly pressed/squeezed juices and teas a la M Fresh.

It's early stages, should be another solid six months before they open up shop but the addition of another Asian restaurant to the Vista (Saki Tumi, M Vista, Tsunami, Men Koi, Camon, Taco Sushi) is awesome. And rumor is that Red Bowl Asian Bistro is interested in opening up shop in the Vista too

^If you ever go to Red Bowl, don't get the sushi. The Sandhills location has the worst sushi I have ever had in my life.

Red Bowl has great food and a very clean kitchen. I take my family there.

Some of their food may be good, but their sushi is not.

Default Since we're talking Sushi

...try Inakaya's (O'Neil Ct) Firecracker Roll. Absolutely delicious! Can't find it anywhere else.

That may be your opinion but it is certainly not a fact.

The sushi has gotten much better at Red Bowl. I used to not like the sushi there either and talked bad about it all the time. But since they have gotten very busy during the half price sushi happy hour (3-6 Mon-Thurs), the sushi has been very fresh. Me and my kids go all the time now.

I don't know if it qualifies as "sushi" but I get the "american dream sushi" from red bowl and I enjoy it. It's mainly crab + other things + fried + spicy drizzle sauce.

I actually don't like red bowl's food. It's too greasy/filled with sauce and more like the billion of china fast food or what not that just have $5 meals but it costs $10 instead at red bowl. I much prefer Miyos in Sandhills.

I totally agree, plus Miyo's is locally owned.

I'll agree on the recommendation of Miyo's. I tried it for the 1st time in February. Awesome server staff and food is top notch EVERY TIME!
