Default Looking for nice place...

Disabled vet looking to settle down in a active area, not into real rural setting.. Thinking Lugoff ? would like to be within 40 min drive to a military base for medical reasons... other then that housing cost , is a factor , kids are all grown so dont need school, or a job , just a clean nice area to live out the years i have left... would rather be in a cooler area then a hot one.... any ideas.... thank you bob

In Columbia I'd say SE Columbia is going to best. 15 minutes to anywhere, close to the VA hospital, Ft. Jackson, quiet w/o being too rural.

Lugoff will be very rural.

I'd say if you want to live in a cooler area, South Carolina is not the state for you.

Dave O will become famous soon enough
Cool is a relative term. Robert may have been previously stationed somewhere truly hot like Texas or Florida.
