I say private schools pay but not public schools. As far as the government paying that might be like robbing Peter to pay Paul.

I'm pretty sure Columbia would come out ahead by a substantial margin if USC property were taxed as opposed to churches, even if you're just talking the sports venues which generate a HUGE amount of revenue.

It appears that a 10-plex theater complex is likely to be a part of Bull Street.

re "likely". , guys still highly speculative at this point but it'd be a game changer for the development, still lotta hurdles and way to preliminary to predict at this point whether it'll happen

This is old news. The cinema has been on the developers plans for months. Will we ever hear about specific retail/restaurant plans in this lifetime??

I don't know about restaurants, but only 1 office space has been sold with 3 more totaling 72,000 SF still for sale. Expected completion date is April 1, 2016, which is in a few weeks. Don't think they will meet that deadline. New construction and proposals have slowed down everywhere, even here in Charlotte. Might be a few more months before we see some progress. The student apartments are getting their tax break next week, so that phase is moving along steadily
