I think it is great that dining/entertainment options are increasing so quickly. Seems like a new announcement every week! I do wish however that retail was developing as quickly. Would love to see more clothing, (not just for the college set ala Wish), and home decor boutiques. Anyone else feel the same?
Barbara, you might want to check out the Devine Street corridor. I'm particularly fond of the Bohemian for furniture and housewares. I can't give you much advice for women's wear, but I know there is an Italian shoe boutique at Trenholm Plaza. There are also some locally owned women's stores on Devine Street. As far as men's clothes, I like Savoy in the Vista.
Columbiadata and Waccamatt thank you I am aware of Granger Owens and the Devine Street district. My comment was not because I am in need of ideas as to where to shop for myself, it is that I think adding retail, like some of the shops/galleries on Devine Street, would enhance the Vista and Main Street areas. If you have friends in from out of town and you're spending the day in that area it would be nice to have more places to browse. I know it is not far to pop over to Devine Street, just think it would be great if there was more there.

Gotcha; it would be nice to see more retail on Main Street and in the Vista. There are certainly plenty of restaurants and bars in the Vista, but not a ton of retail.
Barbara, I agree that on main st males have more options for sure as far as clothing shopping goes. Circa 1332 and granger, then also the new high/upper end mens stores in the vista means men have lots of options, especially on main. Women may be feeling a little left out ?

I think Granger-Owings sells women's wear, too. Besides, women have tons of places in Five Points, Devine Street and the Trenholm Plaza area.
