Red Bank Mill Pond
Does anyone know if there are any plans for the Old Red Bank Mill and maybe the pond being rebuilt?
Thanks!

I have been wondering myself if they are going to rebuild the dam. I have noticed that they are doing some kind of big machine work off crown point rd, They took down the fence near the corner near the brick walls If I find out I will post the info please do the same. I live on crown point road do you nearby?

I haven't heard anything and I try to stay up on things. It would be nice though.

Actually, I own a lot on Crown Point and whas hoping to fish off my (not built yet) dock. I too noticed the backhoe yesterday, but wasn't quite sure what he was doing. With all the new road widening and the movement toward Red Bank from Lexington, it just seems likely that the Mill Pond would be ripe for development! My fingers are crossed.

Mill Pond
I live up against the pond on Crown Point, the beavers have rebuilt the damn themselves. It's about 200 feet long and quite amazing. The pond, although still filled mostly with reeds, is 5 or 6 feet deep and and main river part still flows nicely. I've hooked / released several dinner size fish from it recently. I also paddle around the pond now and then with six-foot, blowup boat.. but worry about runninn over dead-fall and popping my boat.

I have heard other people ask the same question, but I haven't heard of any plans.

Hey Harley man! I read your message and am wondering of how to get in touch with you. We live at Cabin Creek (off Crown Point) and after reading your profile I see that you are from NY (like my boyfriend) and are a handyman (like my boyfriend) and like your motorbike (like my boyfriend but not a Harley). Have you found out anything else about the dam?
Ella. We are enjoying the stream in our backyard so far.
