I am moving back to SC/GA area and struggle with finding a job. Obviously, I have looked on the major career boards. There seems to be a huge hidden market. I have a background in Human Services Administration/Social Services and Mental Health. Experience in Program Coordination and Case Management. Maybe I need to be more creative...Can anyone share some tips for the job market?
Thanks! |

Have you checked the State, County, and City websites? Most of the positions for places like these are only posted on their respective websites or at the Employment Office.
Also, try http://www.indeed.com What area are you looking into? The Augusta job market is pretty healthy. |

Seems like it would be pretty easy for you to land a job in Columbia, being the state capital. Check out scjobs.com (I think that's the right website).

Augusta is a few hours fom my folks. Just noticed the selection being very limited on the career sites for SC and GA. Then again, I'm used to living in major cities, more to choose from. It's a challenge to do job search across the country, 2300 miles away. Staying away from the Atlanta area. Airline and rental car businesses got lots of money from me this year. Just did a few state applications. Praying I'll get an interview. Their pay scale seems to be closer to what I'm used to making. Need to be able to advance, not just job but a career. I've checked the socialservices and indeed site. Thanks for you help!
