That's what we're looking for - down home, a place to eat, not dine.

Just Us Cafe on Knox Abbott Drive West Columbia for Breakfast and Lunch.

The Original Pancake House on 4840 Forest Drive for the best and biggest breakfast selection around.

Nick's House of Pizza, Sunset Blvd, West Columbia. Much more then just pizza. Great greek food. Good place for kids to have what they want and adults to have what they want. Beer and wine available.

Waffle Houses will do for a quick, fast, inexpensive meal 24/7.

Little Pigs Barbecue, Alpine Road. A southern based buffet that serves it all. Very Southern.

Delhi Palace, 542 St Andrews Road. Good, inexpensive Indian food.

OK, guess my suggestion for Lizard's wasnt agreed upon by all here lol, but thought i'd try one more: Hudson's Smokehouse.
We enjoyed the buffet anyway, for brunch/dinner seemed along the same lines as Lizards as far as cooking goes, but as we were there just the 6 years we didnt have a long history of how they may have changed over the years, and so on.

There are a lot of options in the $10-15 range. Almost anywhere for lunch will be in this range assuming you don't order alcohol.

If you get tired of Southern fare, try Arianna's off Sunset in West Columbia. It is a wonderful Turkish-Greek place run by a friendly Turkish immigrant.

If you like Greek food, try Devine Foods on Devine St. Nothing fancy. Usually served on paper plates. But good, inexpensive Greek food.
