Thanks John,

We are about a year away from making any decisions. We've been browsing the MLS listings as well for traditional stick built homes. It's just very difficult finding a home in our search area with the square footage, bedrooms and size of land within our budget and where the home isn't 30+ years old. I know modular homes and manufactured homes get a bad rep and trust me I would certainly choose a stick built home over one any day of the week. We are just hoping one goes up for sale around the time of the move that meets all our bullet points. However if we can't find one then we may go the modular route or find a stick built home we can flip in a few years and wait until "the one" hits the market. I will be working from home so it is extremely important that the house we get will be able to support my home office. The hunt continues.

If anyone has suggestions I would be happy to entertain all ideas. If anyone has any suggestions on the stick builders for homes we could research that build on land that would be great!
