No I meant Lockwood Greene, they are engineering. Lockheed Martin is indeed also here with aircraft maintenance at Donaldson and offices in Brookfield Office Park.

Thanks for getting me straight on the Lockwood. I never heard of it until now.

I would choose Columbia over Greenville. But Augusta is closer to Atlanta and growing faster than them both.

This statement is completely wrong. Augusta can't touch neither and is in reality smaller than both. I have family in Augusta. Look at the different forums for each city on here and look at which ones get the most responses. Thats the ones most people are probably interested in.

I'm sorry. I just realized that Augusta doesn't even have a forum. You are the first person I can ever remember bringing Augusta up. Hmmm

Actually, Augusta's MSA is growing more slowly than either Columbia's or Greenville's according to Census Bureau estimates.

I do like the latest news about condo development in downtown Augusta. That should eventually help to revitalize downtown and breathe new life into that city. Columbus, GA, is pretty hot right now as well.
If you want to live in a place that is much further along in downtown revitalization, Greenville is a perfect example and Columbia is gaining a better reputation as redevelopment continues to change the face of urban living in its core.

I will give Augusta credit in that the city has more things going on/planned for its downtown than I originally thought. Not too sure about Columbus, though. The city just took a significant dip in population with the deployment of its troops, and while its downtown has tons of potential, it appears as though most development there is being steered out to the suburbs.

Yes,you are very much right in that Augusta is considerably smaller than either Columbia or Greenville, but let me inform you that we are far from being some small hick country town out in the boondocks somewhere. For one thing,we have the Masters Golf tournment every year and not only do people come from all over the country to see it,but how about, all over the world. There is also an abundance of hotels, outdoor eating and beautiful River Walk in the heart of downtown. One thing about Augustians, you want find anybody with a "full of nonsense forum"on here complaining about teenagers hanging out in downtown scaring everybody else away by their mere presence, yet not harming anyone else.Wonder where that forum is at on here.By the way, since your last post here,August does have a forum now.I really don't like people on this forum putting my town down or acting like it's the lowest place on the totempole especially when you don't know that much about it.Hey,that goes for DIS_GUSTA(g-man)too.Stick to what you know.

No more city bashing please. It's getting out of hand. Yes, there has been a problem in downtown Greenville the last several weeks with large groups of teenagers gathering at the entrance to Falls Park. The city has enacted a curfew and sent more police officers there on the weekend. This has pretty much stopped and ended it. Also, saying things like Augusta is growing faster than Columbia or Greenville which is definitely not true doesn't help the situation.
