There's at least a 100 of them right outside my front door. And "Landing rates’ on humans up to 60 per minute in lower Richland County." We really need some cold weather to kill'em off. The flood and ensuing weather made Columbia Mosquito Central:

I had a freeze at my house a couple of weeks ago and I haven't seen any. What part of town are you in?

Matt, did you have frost or a legitimate freeze? We had light frost here about the same time you're speaking of. Temperatures got down to the upper 30's yet I'm out in Irmo. Does it get colder where you're situated?

Cold weather is my favorite type of weather and I've missed it. This mosquito apocalypse needs to go. Everytime I walk outside I'm attacked and yes I live in the city limits.

I had a light freeze one morning (31) and 2 days of frost.

I live in a valley in Keenan Terrace and it is often a few degrees colder here than many areas.

The spraying worries me more than Mosquitos, perhaps needlessly I know but just worry about the other beneficial insects.

From what I understand, it's the entire state that is infested. I live in Sumter and for 2 weeks now, you can't go outside without being swarmed. It's the worst I've ever seen. I never ask for cold weather, but this is unbearable.
