Trying to get Driving Licence (car rental, rentals, schools)

Hi;

I'm trying to get driving license. I'm already have driving license from my country outside US, but not international license. Moreover, I already have been in SC more than 90 days.

I went to DMV and did required tests except the road test. For road test, I understand I need to have a car to do the road test. But car rentals agencies refused to rent me a car because I don't have license.

So I'm in a deadlock. Some one told me I could ask a friend to rent his car, but I don't have a very close friends here.

I know there are a driving schools here. Could I for example take one hour lesson and use the training car for the driving test?

Any suggestion will be appreciated to break this deadlock.

Yes, call a driving school, but they may not let you use their car just for the test without having any lessons.

Yeah. I could take one lesson for example for it's OK with them to have one lesson only.

Several years back my wife took two or three session in Emily's Driving School. Trainer is wonderful and she will let you use her car if you took session.
