Working Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Generating Station (Irmo: for sale, apartments)

Hello,
My husband is looking at a possible job transfer and would be working at the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Generating Station.
I am interested in waterfront condo living as we are empty-nesters and hoping to be able to enjoy our weekends instead of working in the yard. If anyone has any suggestions for towns/lakes that may have condos on the water within a hour drive of the plant I would appreciate it.

It appears that Lake Murray has this condo complex: Yacht Cove. Yacht Cove Owners Association - Home Page

There are a lot more condos on Lake Murray besides Yacht Cove.

Lake Murray is loaded with condos for sale/rent. Just be sure it has water access and docking if owning a boat.
