Default Coming to Fort Jackson

My family and I are coming to Fort Jackson for my brothers Graduation. He gets an on-post pass on March 27th and an off-post pass on March 28th. He has to be back by 9pm. We are looking for something to do until he has to be back.

Is there anything pretty cool to do down there. I know he wants to eat a steak I just don't know what else to do. I need Help, please.

I'm not sure what age everyone is, but Five Points and the Vista are Columbia's 2 main entertainment districts and they are both located in the downtown area. Both areas have lots of restaurants and bars. The restaurants appeal to all ages, but the bars in Five Points would appeal more to people under 30 and the bars in the Vista would appeal more to people over 30. 9pm will be too early to see anything at The Colonial Center, The Koger Center or The Township Auditorium. Earlier in the day there is always taking a tour of The SC State House, The Columbia Museum of Art, The SC State Museum or Riverbanks Zoo. For steaks, the two best places are Ruth's Chris at the Hilton Hotel in The Vista (very pricy, but awesome) or Longhorns, also in the Vista and very good, but less pricy than Ruth's Chris. Unfortunately, the early hour he has to be back on base limits your options a bit.
