I mostly only take photos in-town. Most suburban areas have bigger lots.

I didn't know that they put a new fountain in 5 points. It's nice to see that they put some palm trees back in as well. They took down all the others, correct? They took down all those nice established red tips too, which was a shame. Looks like Columbia is really taking off. Does anyone know what the growth rate is?

Richland and Lexington Counties are both on course for a growth rate of close to 20% for the 2000-2010 census period. Kershaw County's growth rate is also close to that and the other metro counties are pretty much stagnant, but they're only a small percentage of the population.

Thanks for the pictures Waccamatt. So much construction going on and I am a sucker for new development. A lot of times, you have to wait until construction is almost complete to find out what it is. Thanks for including the identities of these sites. Please bring us more.

I've got some more photos that I took last week, I just need to upload them to my website and I'll post them on here.

Nice photos. The Rosewood Hills area are very nice places for the money and location. I think some of those condo complexes are at about the same stage as they were when you took the photo. I remember getting railed a year ago by that poster trying to preach his 10% appreciation on the condos in 6 mo. or whatever it was when I said to watch out on the condos. Overall, our market is solid, especially compared to the rest of the country (our transactions are down but our price has held pretty steady). I think we built to many condos too quickly. The market just hasn't been able to support the numbers of them going up.

We took a look at Rosewood Hills and thought they were kinda overpriced for what they were. They'd only sold one house at that time and were in 'make me an offer' mode on the model home.

Lots are too small and I don't like the proximity of the low income duplexes. I am watching to see how well it all goes for this development.
