We want to move to sc, heard it has good weather in the winter ... we are self employed (haul C&D debris and demolition) want to know if there is any construction going on in the Columbia area? our survival depends on the construction industry doing well! Hardly any building going on now in Columbus, Ohio due to slump in market.
Heard things are better in SC ... can any one tell us where is the best place to move to in columbia where there is construction/demolition going on. We also have a 15 year old son to place in school. Are there charter school in Columbia. What is the state of public schools there? Our son will be starting high school, what are the good ones? We to buy a 4-unit commercial building to do a sandwich shop and rent the others ...does anybody have any suggestions as to a city or municipality in Columbia to try to move to? |

Construction has slowed somewhat in the Columbia area, but there is still a good bit of activity, especially in the commercial market. There are a number of good high schools in the Columbia area. Are you interested more in living in-town, in the suburbs or in a more rural area?
