Default Columbia

Hi I have been lurking on this site for a good 4 or 5 months and I have read lots of good info. My parents moved to Greenville from Gainesville FL last July they went on and on about how we should move the Greenville or just South Carolina in general we like Gainesville but really feel we cant afford to buy a home or even a condo in Gainesville now because they went up so fast and the taxes are so high this is my question can you find a nice house in the 90 to 120 range in a nice area around Columbia? My husband works at a large bank and can transfer just about anywhere and keep his current salary. Any thoughts would be great is this possible or will we have to pay more for a nice part of town? We dont need a big house more important to us is a nice area.

You could get a new starter home for around $120,000.

Google - Richmond Farms, Lexington, SC - new homes. Lot's of these subdivisions around.

Gainesville and Columbia would be similar, except Columbia is probably bigger, but same type of college town. Like a cross between Tallahassee and Gainesville. College town and state capital. Greenville is nice too, but I think Columbia is a little cheaper for housing. A little hilly, like Tallahassee.

Lexington is a very pleasant town on the edge of Columbia. Growing fast.
