I am relocating to Columbia in September to start my career at Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VAMC. I am looking for a 2BR, 2BA apartment with rent from $700 to $1000. I desire a 15 minute commute to WJBD. Safety is foremost so a good neighborhood is important! Any information you could give me regarding housing would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help!

Wellington Farms is maybe a 5-10 minute drive to Dorn VA. We moved my 76yr old Mother in Law from Penn. to Wellington Farms. She loves her apartment. Its always quite when I visit her. Beautifully maintained grounds. Pool, etc. It's on 700 Greenlawn. Right behind a library, grocery store...near post office. Near everything.

Hi, I am a travel contract nurse and just finished working a 3 month contract at the Columbia VA. I enjoyed working there !
I stayed at a very nice apt complex called the Haven and Windsor Lake. It is a new gaited community. It has a little lake, big pool, hot tub, exercise room and free carwash. Every third Thursday of the month the manger has free food and drinks at the pool. I loved it there. It is about 11 miles to the VA, a straight shot on 71 and easy commute.
