I'm not sure about it being two stories either, but there is a Nestle's Toll House shop in the Village at Sandhills.

Thanks, now that my memory is jogged I don't believe it was 2 stories. I think I did hear though of a 2 floor Dunkin Donuts maybe, one where you can watch them being made. Maybe I'm wrong about that too, I don't know.

There has been discussion of a 2-story Dunkin' being built in Greenville, but I don't know about seeing the donuts being made.

Have you tried the shakes at Red Robin? They are dangerously big!

Anyone know why the Cold Stone near Sparkleberry & Clemson closed? Any time I went it was busy...

I think there may be something specific to that owner's situation or perhaps problems with the franchising situation. This site speculates:
Columbia Closings » Blog Archive » Coldstone Creamery, Clemson Road at Sparkleberry: 2007(?)
At least there are alternatives in the Northeast: Bruster's near Spring Valley High School, Marble Slab Creameryj, Nestle's Toll House, and Rita's Italian Ice in Sandhill, Baskin Robbin's on Two Notch, and two mom-and-pop places I can think of: Desserts 'n' More on Hard Scrabble in the Publix plaza (they serve Hershey's brand ice cream) and the Sprinkles ice cream place in Lake Carolina's town center (they seem to be doing all right). Marble Slab is probably the closest thing to Cold Stone's style of ice cream & service.
