They are not less safe or more safe. It's in the media every day. When you start laying off teachers, as many states have, it has gotten pretty bad.

Of course you're right about the numbers.

I wonder what the right wingers would prefer: The chance to buy a Chevy truck, or fire and police protection and education for their children?
